"Wait. You built this DURING MAT LEAVE?!"

The Parenting Load is Real
Every day, we’re scrolling Instagram, TikTok, and Pinterest for ideas —
activities to keep them busy, quick meals to save the evening, reminders we forgot to write down, birthday inspo we swear we’ll “come back to later.”
And somehow… it’s all still scattered everywhere.
Roux HQ brings it into one beautiful place.
Your ideas, your routines, your child’s milestones, your local events —
all gathered, organized, and quietly handled by AI that thinks like a modern parent.
No more digging for that screenshot.
No more five different apps to do one simple thing.
Just a calmer rhythm for your family, wrapped in nostalgic magic.

A Message From Our Founder
I started building Roux HQ during my son’s naps — not because I had time, but because I was tired of holding everything in my head. At 1am, I’d save a DIY sensory bin from TikTok. The next day, I’d screenshot a baby-led weaning recipe from Instagram. I’d track a milestone in my notes app. Then forget about all of it. It would disappear into saved folders and scrolls and screenshots — never in the right place when I actually needed it. There wasn’t one spot that brought it all together. Not the helpful content. Not the tools. Not the feeling. So I started building it. In my first year of motherhood, I downloaded a lot of parenting apps. Most were functional, but… bland. They felt clinical. Like they were built for the baby — not for me. And while motherhood changes everything — it doesn’t mean I wanted to give up the part of myself that loves aesthetics, storytelling and beautiful design. The parenting tools out there made me feel like I had to choose between being capable and being creative. Between staying organized and staying inspired. That’s why I built Roux to be more than an app. It’s a mood. A home base. A warm, smart, gentle companion that makes space for you — not just your schedule. I also found myself constantly asking: what are we going to do today? Even in my small Ontario town, I didn’t know what was available for my family. Google felt outdated. I forgot there was a local museum. I didn’t know about the play centre, or the parks nearby. My friend with three older kids would always stress about soccer registration, gymnastics camp sign-ups, or missing deadlines she didn’t even know about. So I built a better way. A smart way. A beautiful way. One place for everything — rain, shine, or snow. Roux HQ is the first parenting app designed for the whole experience — for the tabs in your brain, the rhythm of your days, and the love behind your lists. It blends age-based suggestions, local activities, meal ideas, seasonal reminders, milestones, and more — all powered by AI, and wrapped in nostalgia. It’s not another tool you have to manage. It’s the one that helps you feel like someone already thought one step ahead. From my HQ to yours, Hannah Mercier Founder, Roux HQ
